Attorney Profile

Robert S. Halagan

I have been practicing law for over thirty years.  Unlike many lawyers today, my experience has been broad and deep in a variety of areas. Rather than call myelf a "corporate lawyer" or an "employment lawyer", I define myself by my clients: I represent businesses and business owners and help them become more successful and more profitable.  My goal is to improve your bottom line. I look to provide solutions for my clients in whatever area they may need counsel and advice.

My experience has included jury trials in state and federal courtrooms; structuring the purchase or sale of multi-million dollar businesses; negotiating labor contracts; designing estate plans for business owners with complex financial and personal challenges; managing real estate purchases; and counseling employers on difficult termination or discipline issues.  At the same time I recognize that there are occasions when specialized legal expertise is important.  My practice has also brought me into contact with many of the leading lawyers in Minnesota and I have a significant referral base for lawyers in those areas or issues where we conclude particular and specialized legal expertise is essential.

A great part of the practice of law is the use of common sense and good judgment.  My diverse background and willingness to follow the challenges faced by my clients has given me the experience and credentials to truly understand and fulfill the role of counselor and advisor to your legal needs.
